price range, features and of course cosmetically appealing. If u are planning on adding an amp and sub, or a 4ch high level amp someday, then i would consider alpine as most of thier higher lever decks have 4v preouts as apposed to 2v or 1v found on cheaper decks. This will give u a stronger audio signal to the amplifier resulting in better sound. If this is ur plan be sure to get a deck with dedicated preouts (at least 3). I highly recommend a deck with a front or rear usb and aux port(standard 3.5mm headphone jack allowing input from anything w a headphone jack). U can also incoporate navigation and handfree calling into a deck as well but would be much more cost effective if u just bought a garmin, and u shouldnt be talking on phone and driving the z at the same time anyways because there is still some level of distraction. Also, if u plan on adding sat radio, there are decks available that have this built into it, eliminating the need for FM modulation or more aux cords, further more improving ur sound quality and cosmetic appearance. Hope this helps man.
